The six Kia Souls that the company donated to the university will be used as a part of the Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP).

The exact project that APEP is looking into is a vehicle-to-grid software algorithm. Once complete, the software project will make charging electric and hybrid vehicles more efficient than ever before.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Kia in conducting research on these important topics,” said Scott Samuelsen, Director of APEP. “The rapidly evolving coupling of vehicles and the electric grid requires planning based on informed decisions supported by the market-based, systems analyses provided by the Kia/APEP program.”

How to Remove Scratches
Unsightly scratches can be a major problem. Luckily, here at Stokes Kia, we know just how to remove scratches without costing you a fortune!

Unsightly scratches can be a major problem on otherwise pristine cars. Small blemishes are the hardest to ignore once you’ve noticed them. Luckily for you, some scratches can be removed with a simple do-it-yourself method. Here at Stokes Kia, we know just how to remove scratches without costing you a fortune!

Before you gather your supplies, make sure the scratch is shallow enough it can be fixed at home. You can check the scratch’s depth by dragging your fingernail over it. If your nail ends up snagged, odds are its too deep to fix.

If the scratch is shallow enough your nail doesn’t get caught, the next step is to clean it thoroughly. Make sure to clean both in the scratch and the paint surrounding it. Any leftover dirt and grime could end up rubbed into the paint and that’s just another problem that will need fixing.

To fix the scratch, all you’ll need is a tube of toothpaste and a damp rag. Blot the rag with a few dabs of toothpaste. Rub the scratch in small, circular motions. Depending on the depth of the scratch, it could be gone in just a few rotations. To check your progress, simply lift the cloth.
